Şükran Çavdar
received her B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from
Istanbul Technical University,
İstanbul, Turkey. She was teaching and
research assistant at Institute
of Nuclear Energy, ITU between 1996
and 2002. She received her Ph.D. degree in Nuclear
Science from Institute of
Energy, ITU under the supervision of
Prof.Dr.H.Atilla Özgener at
2006. She has been a teaching
and research assistant since 2002
at the same institute.
Her research interests include Accelerator Driven Subcritical Reactors; transmutation of nuclear waste;
neutron diffusion calculations;
analytic, semi-analytic and
numerical solutions of
differential and
integro-differential equations;
scientific computing.
Currently she is a visiting scholar at the Department of Engineering, the University of Cambridge since January 2014.
